Local community organisations are working in partnership with Filey Town Council, Scarborough Borough Council and North Yorkshire County Council to deliver an enhanced Decorative Lighting Scheme for Filey, over a five year period.
Filey Town Council displays information in its own Council notice board outside the Council Offices at 52A Queen Street, Filey.
The Community Notice Boards are situated:
1. Outside Filey Post Office
2. Entrance to Filey Bus Station
3. End of Belle Vue Street
4. Bottom of Church Ravine
Filey Town Council own a small amount of property and land but the majority of Filey’s land which was owned by the Filey Urban District Council was transferred to either Scarborough Borough Council or North Yorkshire County Council following Local Government Re-organisation in 1974.
